Should you be concerned about Cockroaches?

Cockroaches have been a pest for millions of years, now residing in restaurants, food facilities, hotels and maybe your home next. Although they have wings, they can’t fly and that’s a really good thing. Cockroaches don’t cause structural damage but they can contaminate food and spread disease. Like us, they will live anywhere there is food, water, and shelter. And anyone can get them, clean and tidy doesn’t mean anything to them, as they are attracted to warm and damp conditions in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and plumbing areas. Roaches find their way into your house in luggage, used furniture, food and shipping cartons. Cockroaches are busy at night searching for food, anything really, but mostly food containing starches, sugars, and protein. To get rid of these dinosaur insects, rigorous cleaning measures and selective pesticides can be the solution. You can also try to trap them by spreading vaseline on the inside of a jar, stick masking tape on the outside, put bread inside the jar, if a cockroach crawls in, it will not be able to crawl out. Then use your imagination to dispense of it.
