Do Birds Spread Disease?

Birds are super-spreaders of diseases because they travel over large distances, and their bodies are hosts to infectious diseases. Birds such as pigeons, sparrows, crows, and seagulls nest on our buildings, eat our food, and live in our backyards, school, buildings and parks. These birds pose a momentous health risks mainly spreading it through their droppings. Bird poop is full of diseases and pass it on to humans through poop contaminates in food and water sources. Believe it or not, fecal dust from their poop can infect us. When dried droppings are disturbed, microscopic pieces break off and float into the air. This floating poop is in the air so we breath it, we consume it and we get direct contact with it.
