Rodents

The word “rodent” means “to gnaw”. And that they do. Desperately searching for food and shelter, rats and mice can gnaw through even rigid materials such as aluminum siding and cinder blocks. They can also squeeze through narrow openings. Rats only need a ½ inch (1.27 cm); mice just a ¼ inch (.6 cm). Not only are they a nuisance, they are a serious threat to your well-being. They can spread diseases such as salmonella that may affect you and your pets.

Rodents are found in homes, warehouses, restaurants, supermarkets, livestock facilities and food processing facilities. They are the most difficult pest to eradicate. If you and your neighbours need help, we can offer a group service plan.

RATS: Rats measure approximately 15 inches (40 cm) in length and are excellent climbers who often hide in attics and trees. Rats are aggressive and tenacious.

MICE: Mice measure approximately 7 inches (20 cm) in length and live in close proximity to a food source. They have a keen sense of smell and can smell food from a long distance. They can live up to 3 years, with a female delivering between 5 and 10 litters a year.
