Chinese army uses FLAMETHROWER to take out giant nest of killer wasps
What do you do when you find a hornets’ nest high up in a tree? Call in the army to KILL IT WITH FIRE.
At least that’s the pest control solution used in China with when villagers found the hive of aggressive stinging insects.
The giant wasps had already stung one man to death and were attacking any residents that came close to the tree carrying the nest.
At 30 metres off the ground and 1.5 metres in diameter, the giant nest was extremely tricky to destroy using conventional insecticides.
Once it had been assessed by the fire brigade and deemed too dangerous, a battalion from the People’s Liberation Army was summoned.
Wearing chemical warfare suits, the soldiers lined up a terrifying flamethrower to send a jet of fire to incinerate the offending nest.
