Mischief – a group of Rats

Your home is your fortress, except when it comes to rats and mice. These trespassers attack your roof, inhabit walls and attics, tunnel under foundations, loot all available food sources, and start a new society all in no time at all. Sometimes, but definitely not all the time, the occurrence of rodents does not mean the house is unkempt or dirty. Rodents this time of year are merely cunning animals in search of shelter when the rain comes.  In many cases, you maybe actually be inviting rodents to your property by growing fruits and vegetables, leaving pet food and water outdoors, and the worst offender – bird feeders (we call them rat feeders in the industry). Still, unoccupied homes run the risk of rodents inhabiting the residence and this often spreads the rodent infestations to the entire neighborhood. In Delta, beginning two years ago, the city now requires a rodent inspection and declaration form completed by a qualified pest control officer before you could knock-down a house to rebuild a new one. The fall is around the corner, the rodents have started to look for shelter already. If you have heard or seen signs of rodents in and around your home it’s time to call us at go green pest control and exterminators.
