Canada banning Insecticides

SnipImage

Canadian are five years behind most of Europe when it comes to banning neonics insecticides . Neonics insecticides are very, very toxic to all invertebrates including butterflies, earthworms and aquatic invertebrates, which are at the very heart of the food chain. There is growing evidence neonics insecticides use is affecting humans. Ontario is the only Canadian jurisdiction to consider restricting neonic insecticides use, beginning next spring with corn and soybeans. Neonic insecticides -treated seeds were designed to be an alternative to widespread spraying of fields and to contain pesticide use to the individual plant.  All vegetables and all fruit contain at least one neonicotinoid and 75 per cent of fruit and 45 per cent of vegetables contains two neonics. Canadian farmers are prisoners of the insecticides lobby, forcing farmers to do things differently and will force companies to develop products that are safe.   Go Green Pest Control    Delta Pest Control   Ladner Pest Control   Tsawwassen Pest Control     Randy Bilesky
