Optimum Fly Control

Seeing large numbers of flies requires applying summer insecticides. Last winter was relatively typical in that there was unexceptional snowfall and warmer temperatures. This means the peak fly season could be earlier with greater numbers of flies around all summer long.

The one thing that all fly species have in common is that they all have to survive the winter in one form or another. The number of individuals surviving the winter forms the breeding population for the subsequent spring and summer. And with the relatively mild winter we have just had it’s likely that many overwintering fly species will have persisted quite well.Pre-empting the fly threat this summer will help reduce fly-borne disease problems later in the season such as summer mastitis. Adult flies emerge in early June and lay eggs from July onwards. The larval stage then acts as an adult reservoir, so if you can reduce the number of adults before they start laying eggs there will be lower fly numbers for the following year. The males emerge first, followed by the females – so having a professional spray insecticides early enough should take out a large proportion of the local male population in any year.   Go Green Pest Control    Tsawwassen Pest Control   Ladner Pest Control  Delta Pest Control   Randy Bilesky
