Sgt. Raccoon reporting for duty
We all know raccoons are crafty creatures, washing their food using their opposing thumbs while watching for predators. Raccoons are able to squeeze into locked garages, open secured garbage cans, unzip tents, and pry up lids; urban raccoons are the new urban cowboys. Extremely adaptable and smart, they’re expert problem solvers, evolving faster than we can devise raccoon-proof gadgetry. Raccoons are known to be very cunning and resourceful creatures but can they learn military exercises.
The Ukrainian Army are now actively recruiting raccoons. The new recruits will be born in captivity and taught at a young age to sniff out explosives and write fobar in the sand. The animals will be used for combat engineering purposes or in a softer kinder machine gun hand terminology, search for landmines and explosives, and only cut the red wire.
