Cockroaches are among the oldest and most resilient occupants of Delta. They are highly malleable and can live wherever enough food, moisture, and heat exist. These insects enter buildings occupied by us to look for warm, damp environments close to sources of food and water. Cockroach habits range from basements to bathrooms, greenhouses, kitchens, and rooms containing sewer pipes or plumbing. They will eat virtually anything, although they prefer starchy or sugary foods, if push comes to pull they will eat glue, leather and fabric, soap and even toothpaste. These hardy pests can survive for a number of weeks without food or water. Once cockroaches have entered and established themselves in a home, eliminating them can be a grave contest. Here are some tips for preventing a cockroach invasion:  store food in tightly sealed containers, clean and vacuum regularly, caulk and seal cracks and other tiny openings in the walls and floors, and repair leaky faucets, and make sure your cupboards are dry.
