Yes it’s an Organic Christmas Tree

Why not, if you can get an organic tree then you know that the environment is better off because the tree was grown without pesticides. Organic farming makes sense, those people that grow and harvest the trees are not subjected to the harmful side effects of pesticides, be it insecticides or herbicides, and it’s better for you having a tree in your living room that doesn’t have potential residual chemicals on it. Most commercially grown Christmas trees can be grouped in with the dirty dozen (pesticide-tainted produce). Those big beautiful trees look so plush because pesticides are sprayed to control pests and herbicides are used to control weeds. These pollutants are likely to leach into creeks, rivers and watershed where the trees are grown. In areas where mass produced Christmas trees are grown, monitored pesticide levels have been found to be exceeding standard levels. But having said all that, try to find an organic Christmas tree. It is reported that only a very small fraction of live Christmas trees sold each year are organic. Regardless if it’s organic or not, live Christmas trees are still a renewable resource like any other vegetable, so have it chipped and recycled.
